Prime Minister Modi will honor Pintu of Hazaribagh today

Hazaribagh: Pintu Kumar, resident of Bundu village of Barhi in Hazaribagh district, will be honored by the Prime Minister. PM will honor him in Delhi on 26th January. Will be honored for remarkable work in the agriculture sector under the Prime Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana. He has been doing fish farming and hunting work in Tilaiya reservoir for eight years. He had availed the benefit of cage under the state government scheme in the year 2016-17. In the financial year 2021-22, he and his wife got the benefit of fish farming through cage culture from the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana.

Due to his efficiency and honest efforts, he has prepared and sold 30 tons of fish so far. The remaining 40 tonnes of fish is currently ready for sale. Impressed by the increasing steps towards better utilization, management and self-reliance of the benefits received under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, the Government of India has decided to select and honor the farmers doing good work in the field of agriculture from across the country. Pintu Kumar of Barhi and his wife are excited to find their names in the list of those honored. He said that in the initial period, the Deputy Commissioner and the District Fisheries Officer were supportive in providing the benefits of the state government scheme.
