Lucknow : President Draupadi Murmu will be in Lucknow city on a two-day visit from Monday for several special programs. She will be the chief guest in various programs. Giving information, DM Suryapal Gangwar said that the President will attend a program at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Gomtinagar to commemorate the completion of 27 years of the Divine Heart Foundation. She will also preside over the convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Information Technology-Lucknow (IIIT-Lucknow) on Tuesday (December 12). The DM held a meeting and reviewed the preparations for the program and directed that uninterrupted traffic should be ensured on the President’s transport routes. Gangwar has also instructed the officials to keep the city clean. The drains are being cleaned. The potholes are being filled. Iron grills are being installed in the middle of the roads. The DM told the officials that “All departments should make preparations in advance to welcome the President. LMC and PWD should ensure adequate barricading on the VVIP route through which the President’s convoy will pass. Gangwar told the officials that a mini-office will be made for the President at the program venues and Raj Bhavan where she will stay.
