President Draupadi Murmu will flag off three trains in Odisha today

Jamshedpur: President Draupadi Murmu will flag off three trains from her home constituency Badampahar on Tuesday. She will flag off the trains at 9 am on Tuesday. She will flag off the Badampahad-Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express, Badampahad-Tatanagar-Badampahar MEMU Passenger and Badampahad-Rourkela-Badampahad Weekly Train. During this time, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Odisha Governor Raghuvar Das, Railway Board Chairperson Jaya Verma Sinha and other officials will be present with him. According to South Eastern Railway, 18049 Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express will depart from Shalimar every Saturday at 11.05 pm and reach Badampahar at 5.40 am the next day. In return, 18050 Badampahar – Shalimar Weekly Express will depart from Badampahar at 10 pm every Sunday and reach Shalimar at 5.30 am the next day. This train will stop at Santragachi, Kharagpur, Jhargram, Ghatshila, Tatanagar, Bahalda Road, Aunlajori and Rairangpur stations on the way. This will be the first express train between Bengal and Odisha.

Will lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment work of Badampahad station

The President will lay the foundation stone of the redevelopment plan of Badampahad station. Under the Amrit Station Scheme, more than 1300 stations in the country are being modernized. Rs 12.22 crore will be spent on the development of Badampahar station of Chakradharpur division. Redevelopment of Badampahar Railway Station will enhance rail transport infrastructure and boost tourism in Odisha. At the same time, the new Rairangpur division of the postal department will also be inaugurated. The department will provide quality services to approximately 12 lakh population here. It will also fulfill the planned vision of providing postal and financial services to every citizen within a radius of 5 kilometers.

Governor Raghuvar Das welcomed the President

President Draupadi Murmu on Monday reached the Police Lines in Baripada in an Indian Air Force helicopter, where she was welcomed by Governor Raghuvar Das, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Vishweshwar Tudu, State Scheduled Caste-Tribe Development Minister Jagannath Sarkar. The President is on a three-day visit to Odisha. She attended the 36th annual conference and literary festival of All India Santali Writers Association on Monday. Here he laid emphasis on creating awareness among the tribal communities, after which he also inaugurated the Eklavya Model Residential School in Kuliana in Mayurbhanj district.
