Jamshedpur: President Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday flagged off three trains from her home constituency Badampahar. On Tuesday morning at 10 am, he flagged off 3 trains. The trains that have been flagged off include Badampahar-Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express, Badampahar-Tatanagar-Badampahar MEMU Passenger and Badampahar-Rourkela-Badampahar Express.
During this time, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Odisha Governor Raghuvar Das, Railway Board Chairperson Jaya Verma Sinha and other officials were present with him. According to South Eastern Railway, 18049 Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express will depart from Shalimar every Saturday at 11.05 pm and reach Badampahar at 5.40 am the next day.
In return, 18050 Badampahar – Shalimar Weekly Express will depart from Badampahar at 10 pm every Sunday and reach Shalimar at 5.30 am the next day. This train will stop at Santragachi, Kharagpur, Jhargram, Ghatshila, Tatanagar, Bahalda Road, Aunlajori and Rairangpur stations on the way. This will be the first express train between Bengal and Odisha.
