Preparing to compete with Creta and Seltos, Renault will enter the mid-size SUV segment

Renault Mid-Size SUV: French automobile company Renault India is once again preparing to enter the mid-size sports utility vehicle (SUV) market. The company intends to bring three new models in the country by 2025 (Renault New SUV). Venkatram Mamilapalle, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Renault India’s Indian operations gave this information.

Company will also come in 4.3 meter segment

Mamilapalle said that the company is preparing to enter this segment with several innovations. Renault currently sells three models in the Indian market – Kwid, Triber and Kiger. All the three existing models will continue, he said. We will bring new products. We will probably also enter the segment of more than four meters i.e. 4.3 meters. The company has now stopped selling the Duster model.

The company’s portfolio will have six products by 2025

The company is preparing to enter a segment where it will face competition from established models like Creta, Seltos and Grand Vitara. Speaking to PTI, Mamilapalle said, “It is expected that we will land in the same manner as we came with the Duster.” We will come up with many innovations in this segment. The company has now stopped selling the Duster model. He said that by 2025 the company’s portfolio will have six products.
