Prayagraj Kumbh Mela 2025: Railways will run 1200 fair special trains for Mahakumbh to be held in Lucknow and Prayagraj in 2025. These trains will be run on the main bathing festivals. In the Kumbh of 2019, the Railways had run 800 Mela special trains which had 8 coaches. This time the number of devotees in Mahakumbh can cross 40 crores, due to which the number of trains has been increased. These trains will be of 16 coaches. In view of Kumbh, passenger facilities are being expanded at 9 stations of Prayagraj with a cost of about Rs 800 crore. All the work related to Kumbh will be completed by October 2024. Along with this, Railways has also decided to operate special tourist trains for Kumbh. The help of artificial intelligence will also be taken to estimate the crowd of devotees coming to Kumbh, so that situations like sudden increase in crowd and stampede can be dealt with.
