Prayagraj: Benami property worth Rs 12.5 crore of Mafia Atiq Ahmed and Company confiscated, action taken under Gangster Act.

Another benami property of mafia Atiq Ahmed was attached on Monday. This property was in the name of mason Hublal in Gauspur Kathula village of Airport police station area. The value of 25 bighas of land captured by the mafia is Rs 12.42 crore. Before starting the attachment process, a board was put up on the said land by the administration. After that, an announcement was made and information was given about the attachment of people’s land. There should not be any kind of commotion on the spot. In view of this, heavy security forces were deployed. As a precautionary measure, forces from many police stations had also reached. It is noteworthy that the mason himself had reached the commissioner’s office with the land documents. Actually, there was 25 bighas of land in Gauspur Kathula in the name of mason Hublal. Atiq Ahmed had forcibly purchased the land in 2015 by intimidation. After the murder of Atiq and Ashraf, Hubalal showed courage. He himself reached the police commissioner’s house on Saturday. He narrated his own past. In the report sent by Inspector-in-charge Cantt, it was told that the mafia had purchased this property in the name of Hubalal with the money earned from crime. After which this property was ordered to be confiscated under the Gangster Act. DCP Nagar Deepak Bhukar said that permission was taken to attach the property. The attachment action could not be taken on Sunday. Therefore, attachment action was taken on Monday.

Now property worth Rs 1800 crore will be confiscated

A case under Gangster Act is registered against IS-227 gang leader Atiq Ahmed in Dhumanganj police station. During the investigation of this case, the police administration has so far seized properties worth Rs 1800 crore from Atiq Ahmed. Under the Gangster Act, Prayagraj Development Authority has taken bulldozer action on these illegal properties earned from the crime world by gang leader Atiq Ahmed. After freeing the illegally occupied land in Lukerganj, the Yogi government has built 76 flats on it and given the keys to the poor.

Lands of 14 poor families were captured

Police investigation has revealed that gang leader Atiq Ahmed, by investing his money, forcibly purchased the separate flats of 14 poor people located in Katahula Gauspur, whose total area is 23447 square meters, on August 14, 2015, in the name of a poor person. . This purchase was done by intimidation by keeping the poor at gun point. These lands have been identified by the police and revenue department. According to circle rate, the total value of these lands is Rs 12,42,69,100. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police, City Deepak Bhukar said that a report regarding seizure proceedings has been sent to the Police Commissioner. Other benami and name properties of gang leader Atiq Ahmed are also being investigated. As soon as it came to notice, action has been taken against other illegally acquired properties under Section 14(1) of the Gangster Act.
