The court of ADJ-2 Judge Abhash Verma on Friday convicted jailed accused Basco Tudu in the case of murder of four people of Tudu family (Thapa Tudu, Malti Tudu, Sonia Tudu and Ramesh Tudu) in Potka in the year 2016. The hearing on the point of punishment will be held on April 26. 13 people including the research officer testified in the court.
It is noteworthy that on January 20, 2016, Basco Tudu had killed Thapa Tudu by hitting him with his leg while he was defecating outside his house. After this, after reaching the house of the deceased, Malti Tudu, Sonia Tudu and Ramesh Tudu were also murdered. After the incident, the family and Mohan Tudu of the village had filed a FIR against the accused Basco Tudu in Potka police station. The police had caught the accused Basco Tudu and sent him to jail, since then the accused is in jail.
During the hearing on Friday, Basco Tudu was connected to the court through video conferencing from Ghaghidih Central Jail. During the hearing in the court, the hanger seized from the accused was presented. The post-mortem doctor’s report mentioned ante-bottom injury, apart from this the research officer and all the witnesses supported the case. On this basis the court convicted the accused Basco Tudu.
