Porsche’s first EV car has come to compete with Audi Q6 e-tron, priced at only Rs 1.65 crore

Porsche Macan Turbo EV: After releasing the sketch in the global market, German automobile manufacturer Porsche Auto has launched its first electric car Macan Turbo EV in India. The company has fixed its price for ex-showroom at around Rs 1.65 crore. It has been introduced in the market in two variants, Macan 4 and Macan Turbo. Porsche Auto will sell only the Macan Turbo variant in India. Porsche India has started booking its first electric car Macan Turbo EV with the launch. Its delivery is expected to begin in the second half of calendar year 2024.

Porsche Macan EV Dimensions

Talking about the dimensions of the Porsche Macan EV, the dimensions of the Macan Electric are larger. It is 103 mm longer, 15 mm wider and 2 mm lower than the ICE variant of the Macan. The electric vehicle is based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, which has been co-developed with Audi. The upcoming Audi Q6 e-tron and Cayenne Electric are also being developed on this platform.

Porsche Macan EV Design

The design language of the Porsche Macan EV is now inspired by the Taycan. It gets four LED elements for the daytime running lamps, while the main headlamp setup is now placed in the bumper. The rear now has a coupe-like design with a new set of LED tail lamps, which appear completely flat and are connected via a lightbar.

The interior of the Porsche Macan EV now looks more updated. Its design is now similar to Cayenne. The customer can get three screens in this car. It will have a 12.6-inch rotated instrument cluster and 10.9-inch infotainment system which has been offered as standard. Apart from this, a 10.9-inch touchscreen has also been included in it.

The Porsche Macan 4 has a maximum power of 402 bhp and a peak torque output of 650 Nm. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5.2 seconds and its top speed is 220 kmph. It has been claimed for this variant that its WLTP range is 613 km. Its 95 kWh battery pack takes 21 minutes to go from 10 to 80 percent using 270 kWh on an 800 V DC system. At the same time, in Macan Turbo Overboost mode, maximum power of 630 bhp and peak torque output of up to 1,130 Nm is available. Its top speed is 260 kmph and it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 3.3 seconds. The range of Macan Turbo under WLTP is 591 km.
