Pooja Singhal’s problems will increase, assets worth crores including pulse hospital and diagnostic will be permanently confiscated

The Adjudicating Authority has ordered permanent attachment of assets worth Rs 82.77 crore of Pooja Singhal, including Pulse Hospital and Diagnostic. The related property has already been temporarily attached by the Enforcement Directorate. After hearing all the parties, now the Adjudicating Authority has issued an order for permanent confiscation.

The authority has also ordered seizure of Rs 17.79 crore in cash and vehicles worth Rs 1.18 crore seized from CA Suman Kumar’s premises. Now if ED wants, it can take possession of the property by giving proper reasons. However, Pooja Singhal can challenge this decision of the Adjudicating Authority in the tribunal.

On December 1, 2022, it was ordered to temporarily confiscate :

ED had issued an order for temporary confiscation of land and building including Pulse Hospital, Pulse Diagnostic on December 1, 2022 during the investigation of money laundering case. ED had found in the investigation that these properties were bought with the help of money laundering. ED had applied to the Adjudicating Authority to order permanent confiscation of these properties. After this, the authority started hearing in the matter. The arguments of both the sides were heard. The Adjudicating Authority gave its verdict on 10 May after hearing the arguments of both the parties. In its decision, the authority justified the action of ED

ordered his permanent forfeiture. During the investigation of the case, ED found that the illegal income of Pooja Singhal was brought to the bank accounts of different people through various banking channels. After this, investments were made in many places. In this sequence, a part of the investment also appeared in the form of cash. 90 percent of Sanjeevani Health Care was with the family members of Pooja Singhal.

Abhishek Jha had invested Rs 36 lakh in health care through various banking channels. Out of this amount, Rs 22.25 lakh was earlier deposited in different banks in the form of cash. Out of Rs 6.5 lakhs done by Amita Jha, Rs 2.15 lakhs was in cash. The document showed an expenditure of Rs 13.19 crore on the construction of the building of Pulse Hospital.

However, the actual expenditure was Rs 42.82 crore. The actual cost of machinery and equipment was Rs 31.16 crore, but was shown in the Books of Account as Rs 26.44 crore. Land was bought in Kanke in the name of Radheshyam Fire Works. Pooja Singhal’s mother Kamlesh Singhal and CA Suman Kumar’s brother Pawan Singh are partners.
