Politics of UP: ‘Ghosi’ will decide the stature of Dara Singh Chauhan-Rajbhar in BJP, security cover of ‘Kamal’ increased in the east

Lucknow. Even though the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh will be held in 2024, but all the political parties are not delaying in laying the political board to ensure victory in this state which has 80 Lok Sabha seats. Leaders doing caste politics are trying to find a satrap party for themselves and come under its political umbrella, so that they can taste the ‘fruits’ after victory. On the other hand, a big party like BJP is trying to complete the Mission 2024 easily by involving small parties in the Lok Sabha elections. OBC leader Om Prakash Rajbhar’s party Subhaspa joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday announced the resignation of Om Prakash Rajbhar, a former minister of Uttar Pradesh and belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC). By including the Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (Subhaspa) led in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), it has made a strong position in the east.

BJP succeeded in getting Rajbhar vote bank

Omprakash Rajbhar and his party have influence among the Rajbhar community. There is a sizeable number of this community in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. In many districts including Azamgarh, Ambedkarnagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Ballia, Mau, Chandauli, Varanasi, Deoria, Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, Basti and Bahraich, the Rajbhar community plays a decisive role in the victory. This is also confirmed by the tweet of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The Union Home Minister said that the arrival of Rajbhar will strengthen the NDA in Uttar Pradesh and the efforts being made by the coalition under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden. Efforts will get more strength. Rajbhar had met Amit Shah after reaching Delhi and after that there was a new turn in the politics of UP.

Subhaspa added open knot in presidential election

Om Prakash Rajbhar, former minister of Uttar Pradesh and chief of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, who decided to join the National Democratic Alliance led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, contested the last assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh in alliance with the Samajwadi Party (SP). After not getting the expected success, he parted ways with the SP. By supporting the BJP in the presidential election, he had made it clear that by which party’s boat he would reach his political shore. He supported NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu in the presidential election last year. Rajbhar’s party fought the 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in alliance with the BJP. Rajbhar was made a cabinet minister when the government was formed, but later broke ties with the coalition.

Dara Singh Chauhan also showed his strength

Dara Singh Chauhan, another OBC leader from ‘Purvanchal’, resigned from the post of Samajwadi Party MLA on Saturday. Earlier, he had met Amit Shah. The Chauhan (Nonia) fraternity also has significant influence in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Chauhan is also likely to join the BJP soon. Chauhan was earlier in the BJP, but joined the SP before the 2022 assembly elections. In the 2022 assembly elections, he was elected from Ghosi assembly seat in Mau district. Earlier in 2017, he became a cabinet minister in Yogi Adityanath’s first government by winning the Madhuban assembly seat in the same district on a BJP ticket. Dara Singh Chauhan has represented Ghosi Lok Sabha seat from Bahujan Samaj Party in 2009. He has also been a member of the Rajya Sabha twice. Describing the move of Dara Singh Chauhan as a betrayal, Rajendra Chaudhary said that this is the devaluation of politics.

Whose name will be announced on Ghosi will be decided on July 18

BJP president JP Nadda has called a meeting in Delhi on July 18. Omprakash Rajbhar will also attend the meeting, which is being seen as a show of strength by the ruling coalition ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. In this meeting, an opinion can be formed regarding the name of the candidate for Ghosi Lok Sabha seat. Rajbhar, who has joined the Darachal BJP, has sought three percent seats in the Lok Sabha elections, including Ghosi among them. Rajbhar wants to field his younger son and party spokesperson Arun Rajbhar from here. Dara Singh Chauhan can become an obstacle in this. OBC leader Dara Singh Chauhan, who comes from Purvanchal itself, has decided to resign from the post of Samajwadi Party MLA and join hands with BJP. In such a situation, the BJP has to decide whether Ghosi’s Lok Sabha seat will go to Rajbhar’s account or Dara Singh Chauhan’s. Sources reveal that on July 18, the central leadership will brainstorm on this.
