Mukhtar Ansari: Uttar Pradesh’s powerful leader Mukhtar Ansari, lodged in Banda jail, died of a heart attack. He was admitted to Banda Medical College on Thursday evening, from where the news of his death came late in the night. Now the rhetoric regarding this is going on in the political circles. Opposition parties in Bihar are continuously attacking this issue. After former deputy CM of the state Tejashwi Yadav and Pappu Yadav who recently joined Congress, Tej Pratap Yadav has also reacted.
Former minister Tej Pratap Yadav wrote on social site X that he received the sad news of the demise of former Uttar Pradesh MLA Mukhtar Ansari. I pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
Earlier, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav had written on social site X alleging that Mukhtar Ansari had complained about him being poisoned in jail, yet the matter was not taken seriously. This does not seem humane and justifiable, the constitutional institutions should take cognizance of this matter.
Congress leader Pappu Yadav also made a controversial comment in this matter, he described Mukhtar Ansari’s death as an institutional murder on social media. He demanded an impartial investigation into the matter and taking cognizance of the Chief Justice. He described the death of Mukhtar Ansari as a huge stain on the constitutional system.
Here, the police and administration of Uttar Pradesh are on high alert after the death of Mukhtar Ansari. Police personnel have been instructed to patrol. Section 144 has been imposed in police alert mode. The body will be laid to rest after post-mortem.
