In Agra, the Police Commissioner put four constables and a police station in-charge on trial in connection with mining and another case. Changes have been made in the work area of many other police station and outpost in-charges. Angered by the arbitrary and careless functioning of the police, the Police Commissioner made four constables of Achhnera police station stand in line on Monday morning. On the request of the businessman, Police Station Head Rohit Kumar did not allow the potatoes to be turned over in another truck. Due to which potatoes worth Rs 2 lakh rotted in the truck. It was given to the Additional Police Commissioner by potato trader Sanjeev Garg, resident of Kamla Nagar, Agra.
Action taken against the accused constables in this case
In the complaint, serious allegations were made on the role of Achhnera police. It is said that on September 9, a truck filled with potatoes had an accident with a tanker filled with milk on the Southern Bypass under Achhnera police station area. Achhnera police seized a truck full of potatoes and parked it at the police station. Businessman Sanjeev Garg, the owner of the goods loaded in the truck, demanded the police to turn over the potatoes. Sanjeev Garg alleges that due to him not paying the convenience fee, the Achhnera police did not allow him to transfer the potatoes from the truck to another truck. After this, he also appealed to the higher police officials, but the Achhnera police completely ignored his instructions. Whereas the police is responsible for the seized goods. On the written complaint of the businessman, the investigation was handed over to an ACP rank officer. The role of Achhnera police was found suspicious in the investigation. After which Achhnera police station in-charge Rohit Kumar, constable Sunit Chaudhary, Nitin Balyan, Gyanendra and Abhinandan were put on the line.
Action taken in mining case
At the same time, Achhnera police had caught tractors doing mining. When the issue of releasing them after collecting the convenience fee reached the ears of MLA Babulal Choudhary, he informed the higher police officers about the matter. The two constables present on the line had caught the mining tractors two days ago. But late at night the factories did not allow the action to be taken. On the displeasure of the MLA, Police Commissioner Dr. Preetinder Singh, on the basis of the investigation report, put four constables of Achhnera police station and police station incharge Rohit Kumar on the line. There are heated discussions in the department due to the actions of the Police Commissioner.
