Police should develop new techniques of investigation, NIA Director General Dinkar Gupta

Lucknow: The 67th All India Police Duty Meet was inaugurated by NIA Director General Dinkar Gupta on Monday at Jagjivan Ram RPF Academy. Police officers from 20 states and nine paramilitary forces are participating in this program. There will also be a competition based on scientific investigation of crime. This All India Meet will continue till 16th February.

NIA Director General Dinkar Gupta said on this occasion that today is the era of technology. The rapid development of technology has changed our lives. Just as technology has positive aspects, technology also suggests new opportunities and avenues for crime. Therefore, it is important that the police make continuous efforts to develop new technologies. NIA Director General also released a souvenir along with RPF Director General Manoj Yadav.

digital investigation important

It was told in the All India Police Duty Meet that digital investigation is also important in today’s era. In this meet, the ability of the police to investigate the crime scene minutely in a scientific manner, fingerprints etc. are tested. Similarly, the skills of videography and photography are also tested. Because everything present in the crime scene is important from the point of view of evidence. It is almost impossible for any criminal to commit a crime without leaving traces of his presence. This principle naturally applies to the field of digital investigation as well.

Digital foot prints become evidence

In today’s digital era, wherever people go, they definitely leave digital footprints there. This principle also applies in forensics. This is the reason why security forces and police pay attention to personal data mining. Even in the police, more emphasis is being laid on computer training. Work is being done in this All India Police Duty Meet to implement the Indian Civil Defense Code 2023.
