PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of these 5 big projects in Telangana today, will give a gift of Rs 13,500 crore

PM Narendra Modi in Telangana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to give a gift today, that too worth about Rs 13 thousand 500 crores. Yes, PM Modi will visit Telangana on Sunday. During his visit, he will lay the foundation stone of several developmental projects worth more than Rs 13,500 crore. At around 2 pm, PM Modi will reach Mahabubnagar district of Telangana and will lay the foundation stone of many projects from there. On Sunday, Telangana is going to get a gift of Rs 13,500 crore in sectors like roads, railways, petroleum, natural gas, higher education.

  • Foundation stone of road project which is part of Nagpur-Vijayawada Economic Corridor (cost of about Rs 6400 crore)

  • Inauguration of ‘4-laning of 59 km long Suryapet to Khammam section of NH-365BB’ road project (cost of approximately Rs 2,460 crore)

  • Inauguration of ’37 Km Jakleer-Krishna New Railway Line’ and flagging off of train service (costing more than Rs 500 crore)

  • Foundation stone of ‘Hassan-Cherlapalli LPG Pipeline Project’ (cost of about Rs 2170 crore)

  • Five new buildings of Hyderabad University inaugurated

1. The Prime Minister’s Office said that PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of major road projects that are part of the Nagpur-Vijayawada Economic Corridor. An official statement issued by the PMO said that the 108 km long ‘four-lane access controlled greenfield highway’ from Warangal to Khammam section of NH-163G and the 90 km long ‘four-lane access controlled greenfield highway’ from Khammam to Vijayawada section of NH-163G Involves controlled greenfield highway projects. These road projects will be developed at a total cost of approximately Rs 6400 crore. The projects will reduce the travel distance between Warangal and Khammam by approximately 14 km and between Khammam and Vijayawada by approximately 27 km.

2. The PMO further said that the Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation a road project – ‘four laning of 59 km long Suryapet to Khammam section of NH-365BB’ which has been built at a cost of approximately Rs 2,460 crore. “This project is part of the Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam corridor and has been developed under the Bharatmala project. It will also provide better connectivity to Khammam district and coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh,” an official statement said.

3. During the project, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate ’37 km stretch of Jakleer-Krishna new railway line’, the PMO said. Built at a cost of over Rs 500 crore, the new rail line section connects areas of the backward district of Narayanpet for the first time. Prime Minister Modi will also flag off the inaugural Hyderabad (Kacheguda) – Raichur – Hyderabad (Kacheguda) train service from Krishna station through video conferencing. The train service will connect Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahabubnagar and Narayanpet districts in Telangana. The PMO said the service will provide rail connectivity for the first time to many new areas in the backward districts of Mahabubnagar and Narayanpet, benefiting students, daily commuters, laborers and the local handloom industry in the area.

4. During the program, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of important oil and gas pipeline projects. The PMO said, ‘The Prime Minister will dedicate the ‘Hassan-Cherlapalli LPG Pipeline Project’ to the nation. Built at a cost of approximately Rs 2170 crore, the LPG pipeline from Hassan in Karnataka to Cherlapalli (a suburb of Hyderabad), provides a safe, cost-efficient and environment-friendly way of transporting and distributing LPG in the region.

5. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate ‘five new buildings of the University of Hyderabad’ i.e. the School of Economics; School of Mathematics and Statistics; School of Management Studies; Lecture Hall Complex – III; and Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication (Annexy). “The upgradation of infrastructure at the University of Hyderabad is a step towards providing better facilities and amenities to students and teachers,” an official statement said.
