PM Modi will distribute special health cards in Khunti on Tribal Pride Day

Bipin Singh, Ranchi: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has written a letter to the Jharkhand Government and given instructions for special preparations for the program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be organized in Khunti. National Health Mission’s Additional Secretary and Mission Director LS Changsan has written a letter to Jharkhand Health Department’s Additional Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh in this matter.

In this, it has been asked to prepare the outline of the program with special focus on the schemes related to vulnerable tribal groups (PM-PVTG) of the state. It has been planned to launch this mission on 15th November on the occasion of ‘Tribal Pride Day’ at Ulihatu in Khunti. The launch program will be coordinated by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has been directed to participate prominently in this program. During the event, Ayushman and Sickle Cell cards are to be distributed by the Prime Minister to the beneficiaries of tribal groups of the state.

Campaign will run among tribal communities in Jharkhand:

The Central Government has been requested to conduct a campaign for screening of Sickle Cell and Non-Communicable Diseases, Ayushman Card (PMJAY) and ABHA ID in the state, so that adequate number of cards can be distributed on November 15. The district administration has been asked to cooperate in making the card easily.

It was announced in the Union Budget 2023-24:

The Central Government had announced the Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PM-PVTG) Development Mission in the Budget 2023-24. It was launched in 19 states and union territories including Jharkhand, Bihar. This includes improving socio-economic conditions by increasing basic facilities like health, nutrition and education.
