Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various developmental projects worth Rs 7,500 crore in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. Addressing the gathering in Jhabua, Sameer Oraon said that if anyone has given respect to the tribes, it has been given by the Modi government. A woman tribal is sitting on the post of President, this has been possible in the BJP government. On this occasion, Union Minister Arjun Munda said that this is the first time after independence that BJP has given respect to the tribal society. This was not seen during the Congress rule. We are getting respect for which I thank the Modi government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave monthly installment to about two lakh women beneficiaries under the food subsidy scheme of Madhya Pradesh. Under this scheme, the government provides Rs 1,500 per month for nutritious food, especially to women from backward tribes. 1.75 lakh ‘Adhikar Records’ (records of land rights) were also distributed under the Pradhan Mantri Swamitva Yojana. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Tantya Mama Bhil University, which will provide facilities to the youth of tribal dominated districts of the state. The university will be developed at a cost of Rs 170 crore.
