In the welcome speech of the G20 summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that after the Covid-19 pandemic, the world is struggling with a lack of trust and war has deepened it.
PM Modi said that we are living in such an era when age-old problems are demanding answers, we need to fulfill our responsibilities with a human-centric approach.
On the first day of the two-day G20 summit, Prime Minister Modi said that the concept of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ can guide the world.
PM Modi said that if we can defeat Covid-19, we can also overcome the lack of trust created by war.
The Prime Minister said that this has become the people’s G20 in India, with more than 200 events organized in more than 60 cities. India, as the President of G20, appeals to the entire world to convert the lack of trust into trust in each other.
Prime Minister Modi said that now the time has come that we all should move together for global welfare. He said that India’s G20 presidency has become a symbol of inclusion both inside and outside the country.
PM Modi said that India proposes to make the African Union a permanent member of the G20, I am confident that all the members will agree with this proposal.
