PM Modi rejected the objections of Pakistan and China on G20 meeting, also attacked the UPA government, read special things

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Has said that it is natural for India to organize G20 meetings in every part of its country. He said this while rejecting China’s objections on some programs organized in Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh. As part of its efforts to showcase India’s cultural and regional diversity on the global stage, the Modi government has hosted G20 events across the country.

China and Pakistan object to G20 meeting in Kashmir and Arunachal

China, which is a member of the G20, and Pakistan, which is not a member of the grouping, objected to India’s decision to hold the event in Kashmir. China also expresses objection to India’s sovereignty over Arunachal Pradesh. India has already rejected the claims of China and Pakistan.

Such a question would have been valid if we had refrained from holding meetings at those places, Modi said in an exclusive interview to PTI. Our country is very vast, beautiful and diverse. When G20 meetings are taking place, is it not natural that the meetings will be held in every part of our country.

G20 meeting was held in Srinagar from 22 May

India organized the third meeting of the G20 Working Group on Tourism in Srinagar for three days from 22 May. All the representatives of G20 countries except China had visited the picturesque valley for this event. A large number of delegates had also visited Arunachal Pradesh for the G20 program in March. India had then rejected the Chinese claims and said that it was free to hold meetings in its territory.

More than 220 G20 meetings will be held in 60 cities of the country.

Modi said that by the time India’s G20 presidency tenure ends, more than 220 meetings will have taken place in 60 cities across all 28 states and eight union territories. He said that more than one lakh participants from about 125 nationalities will witness the skills of Indians.

All states of India have immense capacity to welcome and host the world: Modi

Modi said India has immense potential to welcome, host and connect the world in its various states, union territories and cities. The Prime Minister said he had also appealed to various states during the Chief Ministers’ meeting that they should ensure that each state continues to strengthen its relations with the delegates and their countries visiting them during the G-20. He said, this will also open up a lot of opportunities for people in future. The Prime Minister said, therefore, there is a deep plan behind the decentralization of activities related to G-20. We are investing in building capacity in our people, our institutions and our cities.

I have confidence in the abilities of my people: Modi

Taking a dig at the previous governments, PM Modi said, unfortunately in the past Delhi used to have an attitude of focusing events only in and around Vigyan Bhavan and it was probably because it was an easy way out or maybe because those in power The sitting people lacked the confidence of people in different parts of the country to successfully execute such schemes. He said, I have a lot of faith in the capabilities of my people. He said that if you look carefully, over the years his government has trusted the people of every region.
