PM Modi inaugurated the first Hindu temple of Abu Dhabi, know what is its specialty

Today is the second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to UAE. On the second day of his visit, PM Modi inaugurated the Hindu temple built in Abu Dhabi. Before the inauguration, PM Modi saw the beauty of the temple. This is the largest Hindu temple ever built abroad. This temple has been built using scientific techniques and ancient architectural methods. Built by Bochasan resident Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha, this Hindu temple is built on about 27 acres of land. This temple has more than 300 high-tech sensors installed to measure temperature and monitor seismic activity. The most important thing is that no metal has been used in building the temple and fly ash has been used to fill the foundation. This temple has been built at a cost of about Rs 700 crore.

The architecture in the temple is built according to the ancient style of construction described in the scriptures. The sacred water of Ganga and Yamuna is flowing on both sides of the temple, which has been brought from India in big containers. According to the temple authorities, a ghat-shaped amphitheater has been built on the side where the water of Ganga flows. The front part of the temple has carved marble carvings on sandstone. Which has been made by skilled artisans of Rajasthan and Gujarat. Construction of the temple was started in 2019.

Which Gods and Goddesses are the idols of?
There are seven peaks in the temple built by Bochasan resident Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan. Regarding this, the temple authorities say that it represents the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates. Idols of Ram, Krishna, Shiva, Jagannath, Swaminarayan, Tirupati Balaji and Lord Ayyappa have been placed on these seven peaks. Authorities have also said that the seven peaks are dedicated to seven important deities, highlighting the interconnectedness of cultures and religions.

Special things about the temple

  • In 2017, Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan gifted 27 acres of land for the construction of the temple.

  • PM Modi had laid its foundation stone on 11 February 2018.

  • In 2019, this temple also won the title of Mechanical Projects of the Year.

  • Spread over 27 acres of land, this temple has very delicate, grand and magnificent carvings.

  • The temple is constructed of pink sandstone and white marble. It has been brought to UAE from Rajasthan.
