PM Modi in Jharkhand: Prime Minister advised Hemant Soren to develop the art gallery in a new way

On the occasion of Tribal Pride Day, a stall was set up in the Birsa College campus courtesy the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. In which there were about 50 stalls of different products. Live demos of various products were displayed in eight stalls. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspected all the stalls. During this, he also talked to the farmers doing pearl farming and turmeric farming in Kuchai. He took information about pearl farming. He took information about the cultivation process and other information in the turmeric cultivation stall. In the exhibition, TRIFED, NILETS, JSLPS, Life Demo, Bronze Vessel of Jariagarh, Pearl Farming, Turmeric Cultivation in Kuchai, Handloom, Handicrafts and various bamboo products, Lacquer Bangles, Palash Mart products, Silver Jewelery Stalls were set up. Apart from this, stalls related to Skill Cell, Ayushman Bharat, NCD were set up by the Health Department. During the inspection, Prime Minister Modi also played drums. PM compared Birsa Munda Museum to Andaman’s Cellular Jail

Prime Minister Narendra Modi compared the Birsa Munda Museum to the three-storey cellular jail of Andaman. Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda, who was accompanying him, introduced the PM to the history of Birsa Munda Jail. He told that it was constructed in 1899 after the court was shifted from Lohardaga to Ranchi, at that time its capacity was 585 prisoners. When Birsa Munda was imprisoned and brought here, 61 prisoners were imprisoned with him. There were also 19 women prisoners in it.

TRI Director Ranendra Kumar gave a brief introduction about the Santhal-Hul movements and how the British were not invincible during that period.
