ANI had earlier quoted defense sources as saying, “Recently, a tender has been issued to HAL to procure 12 Su-30MKI fighter aircraft, to be manufactured by HAL in India in partnership with Russian Original Equipment Manufacturers Will go.”

He said the public sector company is expected to respond to the tender with details of the project along with other details by next month.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had said in April that India’s defense exports have reached an all-time high of ₹15,920 crore in the financial year 2022-2023. He had said that this is a remarkable achievement for the country.
