PM Awas Yojana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the first installment of PM Awas Yojana to one lakh beneficiaries.

PM Awas Yojana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) on Monday released the first installment to one lakh beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) under the Pradhan Mantri Tribal Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM-Janman). The Prime Minister also interacted with the beneficiaries of PM-Janman during a program organized through video conference. During this, the beneficiaries highlighted the positive changes in their lives after availing the benefits of other government schemes including LPG connection, electricity, piped water and housing. During the dialogue, PM Modi said that it is our government’s effort to ensure that no one is deprived of its welfare schemes.

Rs 540 crore released

The first installment of Rs 540 crore was released to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin. PM-Janman was launched on November 15 last year for the socio-economic welfare of the most vulnerable tribal groups of the society. The budget of PM-Janman is approximately Rs 24,000 crore and includes 11 important initiatives through nine ministries. Its objective is to provide basic facilities to the most vulnerable tribal groups. These include providing facilities like safe housing, clean drinking water, better education, health and nutrition, electricity, roads and communication and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
