Pistol-cartridge stolen in Charbagh GRP head constable’s Shaheed Express train, FIR registered in Bareilly

Bareilly: While on duty in 14673 Shaheed Express returning from Jaynagar to Amritsar station of Indian Railways, the pistol and 10 cartridges of Head Constable (Chief Constable) Surjit Pratap Singh of Charbagh GRP (Government Railway Police) of Lucknow were stolen. This created a stir in the GRP. The head constable along with his companion searched extensively for pistols and cartridges in the train. But, he was not found. After this, FIR has been registered and investigation has been started.

Chief constable Sujit Pratap Singh, posted at the GRP police station located at Lucknow Charbagh railway station of Northern Railway, was on duty in the Shaheed Express from Lucknow to Moradabad station. During this time, when the pistol was checked near Bareilly Cantt station, it was missing. In this matter, the head constable has lodged a report at Bareilly Junction GRP police station.

The train reached Bareilly Cantt station at around 6.20 in the morning. After this he came to know about this.

Inspector Ajit Pratap Singh of Bareilly GRP police station said that a report was lodged in Moradabad. The case has been transferred from there. Investigation has been started in this matter.

After having dinner at night, the inspector put his pistol, cartridges, uniform and cap in the bag.

After this, he kept the bag under the seat and then went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning. When his eyes fell under the seat, he lost his senses. There was no bag below. The inspector along with his two staff tried to search the bogie itself, but could not find anything. He had also written a report in the GRP police station. It is said that this pistol has not been found yet.
