The NIA had raided his house several times to arrest Reyaz, but every time he managed to escape. Reyaz has contested twice till the assembly elections.

An active member of Popular Front of India (PFI), absconding in Phulwarisharif terror module case, Reyaz Ahmed, a resident of Talsehan village of Kathara OP area, was arrested by Kathara OP police from his house. The NIA had raided his house several times to arrest Reyaz, but every time he managed to escape. Mohammad Diljan’s son Reyaz was also absconding in the case of a fight with his neighbor in a land dispute in the last month of April. It is said that after the arrest of several accused related to Phulwarisharif terror module in Patna and other places in recent times, Vaishali police had received input that it was hiding at its own house. After this, on the instructions of SP Raviranjan Kumar, a special team of police under the leadership of Kathara OP President Jai Prakash raided the house of Reyaz Ahmed in Talsehan village and arrested him.

Reyaz has also contested elections from Mahua assembly constituency in the years 2015 and 2020. He was suddenly in the limelight again after the fight with the neighbor and its video went viral. It is said that he was trying to capture the land of his neighborhood. In the same dispute, he had beaten up Divyang neighbor Mo Farooq on April 5. The video of this beating also went viral and the victim lodged an FIR against him. After the video of the fight went viral, the police was on alert mode to arrest him. In recent days, after the arrest of Phulwarisharif PFI module’s trainer and others, Vaishali police got information about his hiding in Talsehan.
Mahua has fought elections twice from the assembly constituency
Reyaz Ahmed has also contested elections on the ticket of a political party named Social Democratic Party of India. He contested from Mahua assembly constituency in the year 2015 and 2020 assembly elections. It is said that Reyaz Ahmed has been an active member of PFI since 2008. In 2013, he joined the state committee. Presently there is talk of working as its treasurer. On February 17, 2021, he also celebrated the foundation day of PFI in the premises of Primary School Khajechand Chhapra. During that time many controversial and sensitive posters were pasted in that area.
