Dumri By-election: Voting is to be held on September 5 in 33 Dumri assembly by-elections. A total of 373 polling stations have been set up in Dumri assembly constituency. There are 199 polling stations in Dumri block, 129 in Nawadih block and 45 in Chandrapura. There are a total of 2,98,627 voters in the by-election. Under this, the total number of voters in Dumri block is 1,59,596, 1,02,736 in Nawadih block area and about 36 thousand in Chandrapura block.

Voting will be held from 7 am to 5 pm

1,01,412 voters will exercise their franchise in 125 booths of Nawadih block from 7 am to 5 pm. Administrative preparations have been completed for fair elections in a peaceful, fear-free environment. In 17 different clusters in different villages of the block, the presiding officers and polling personnel reached till late evening on Monday. 129 booths were established in 86 different school buildings. Which includes 52,269 male and 49,143 female voters.

Special attention will be kept on hypersensitive and sensitive booths

On behalf of the administration, 58 polling stations of upper ghat have been kept in the category of hypersensitive, 60 polling stations of Nawadih lower ghat are sensitive and only 11 centers have been kept in the category of normal booths. A close watch is being kept by deploying Central Industrial Force (CRPF) on the most sensitive booths and Jharkhand Jaguar on the sensitive booths.

Adarsh ​​and Sakhi booth declared

Five model booths have been made in the middle school of the block, including Nawadih booth number 270 and 271. At the same time, booth number 272 of Nawadih Girls Primary School has been declared as Sakhi booth, where everyone from polling officials to booth agents of various parties will be women. At the same time, two in Mungorangamati of the block, seven in Penk, four in Degagardha, 11 in Kanjkiro, 11 in Palamu, nine in Narayanpur, 11 in Surhi, seven in Saharia, 13 in Nawadih, eight in Chirudih, one in Baridih, one in Bhalmara. Presiding officers of six booths, 11 in Parsabani, 10 in Bhendra, five in Mungo, nine in Birni and four in Pipradih cluster have been appointed under police protection. Inspection of the cluster: On Monday, Nawadih BDO Prashant Kumar Hembram and CO Ashok Kumar Sinha took information about the law and order situation and also gave necessary guidelines to the deployed cluster in-charge.

Polling party reached in tight security in 48 booths of Uparghat

On Monday evening, people of the polling party reached their respective clusters under tight police security in nine panchayats of Uparghat, a Naxal-affected area of ​​Dumri assembly constituency. They will reach their respective booths from the cluster at five in the morning under police surveillance. For the first time in this militancy affected area after two decades, the polling party people arrived by bus instead of walking. Five days ago, CRPF soldiers were seen alert in every nook and corner regarding security.

Uparghat is a militancy affected area

In the past elections, due to the influence of upper Ghat militancy, people used to participate in the voting in fear. Orders were also issued by Maoists. Will be hurt for voting. Due to fear of which people did not participate openly in voting, but now the situation has changed. The Maoists have somehow not pasted any banner or poster in this by-election. Let us tell you that there are a total of 48 booths in nine panchayats of Uparghat where voting will be held from 7 am to 5 pm on September 5.
