Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has issued an order to increase the salary of its 35,000 contractual drivers and conductors. For a long time, contract workers were demanding salary increase.

Keeping this in mind, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Raj Road Transport Corporation, Masoom Ali Sarwar has confirmed the increase in the salary of contract workers of UP Roadways.

35000 contract drivers and operators of roadways will now start working with full honesty to increase the income of the department. The reason is that now their salaries have been increased by the Roadways.

According to the order issued by the corporation administration, the salary which till now was given to the contract workers at the rate of Re 1 75 paise per kilometer will now increase to Re 1 89 paise per kilometer. This order will come into effect from December 1, 2023.

Apart from this, the rates of Uttam and Uttam Incentive Scheme have also been revised by the Transport Corporation Administration. At the same time, there has been no change in the current remuneration rates of urban services in Noida area which are Rs 2.18 paise per kilometre.

Similarly, there has been no change in the rates of remuneration of contract drivers and contract workers of suburban services working in rural services of Noida region and Kaushambi, Sahibabad and Loni depots under NCR region, rural services of all the depots established under NCR region.

At the same time, contract drivers of Sonauli, Siddharthnagar and Maharajganj depots near the international border of Gorakhpur area and contract workers of sub-urban services will be paid at the rate of Rs 2.18 per kilometer as before.
