Birbhum, Mukesh Tiwari: Today on Thursday, in view of Kaushiki Amavasya, special worship of Mother Tara has started in Tarapeeth of Birbhum. In this Tithi Nakshatra, Sadhak Bama Khepa got success in Tantra Sadhana. On the occasion of Kaushiki Amavasya, there is a huge crowd of devotees in Tarapeeth. There is a huge crowd in Tarapeeth from seekers to devotees, tourists to householders.
The worship of Mother Tara is going on since morning. This morning the special worship of Tara Maa started with Mangal Aarti. Tantra practitioners believe that the night of Kaushiki Amavasya is also called Tara Ratri. Worship will continue throughout the day today in Tarapeeth temple. On this special day, devotees from far and wide gather at the temple to get darshan to worship Maa Tara.
Sadhus and saints and Aghauris who practice Tantra have also come to the cremation ground. Tight security arrangements were made in the entire temple complex. About 150 private security forces have been deployed by the temple committee. Apart from this, one thousand police personnel and 17 hundred civilian volunteers have been deployed by the police administration.
According to temple sources, Kaushiki Amavasya is falling at 4:30 in the morning. Naturally, after the holy bath at around 3 in the morning, the sanctum sanctorum of Tara Peeth was opened for the general public. On the occasion of Kaushiki Amavasya, devotees can worship Goddess Tara till late night. The temple will be closed for some time at 12 noon to offer offerings to Maa Tara.
Five types of fried food, five types of curries, fruits, sweets and meat of sacrificial goat will be offered to Maa Tara. Worship will continue throughout the day. On this day, the stone idol of Maa Tara will be bathed and dressed in royal attire. In the afternoon and evening, Maa Tara will be decorated in the form of Kaushiki.
Mother Tara will be adorned with gold ornaments given by the devotees. On the occasion of Kaushiki Amavasya, lakhs of devotees flock to the Tarapith temple of Siddhapeeth Birbhum. It is said that Sadhak Bamakhepa had performed penance on this date.
