Due to rain, water has accumulated in the upgraded high school Chapuadih campus of Bengabad, Giridih. One to one and a half feet of water is accumulated in the school premises. Due to this, small children of Anganwadi and school are troubled. Teachers and Anganwadi workers have to keep special vigil on the children. Due to lack of drainage system, the building is also in danger. The incidence of mosquitoes has also increased significantly. School headmaster Zafarul Haq says that the Anganwadi center is facing more problems due to accumulation of water. Water entered the verandah of the nursery play school. However, on Thursday, arrangements for drainage have been made by employing local labourers. A raw drain is being made to drain the water. Special care is being taken of the children.

The ongoing rain since last one week has worsened the condition of roads in Deori block. Due to lack of repairs, people are facing problems in commuting due to water logging in potholes on the roads. In view of this, there is a demand for repairs in the road. Congress leaders Ramnarayan Das, Manoj Rai, MLA leader Ajit Sharma along with villagers Lakhan Rai, Sanjit Tiwari, Shankar Rai etc. have demanded repairs in the roads.

Many rural roads of Dumri block have become dilapidated. Dhawatand and Bariyarpur roads of the block have become completely dilapidated. It is becoming difficult to walk on these roads. Villagers have to sweat a few steps to cover this road. Dhaba Tar Bariyarpur road was constructed about 12 years ago under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Due to lack of proper maintenance and timely repairs, the condition of this road has become very bad today. The said road connects three panchayats. Villagers of Hundrutand, Bengali Tola, Dumardiha, Bhelwadih, Tilaiya, Barmasia, Chhatrabora villages travel through this road. Every day, travelers reach the block headquarters through this road. The gravel of the said road has been completely uprooted for four kilometres. Now even the border has started getting uprooted from the road, due to which the road has turned into a pothole.

Due to rain, many rural roads and streets of Sariya block area have become muddy. This has become a cause of trouble for the people. The worst situation is in Chhatarbad village of Bagodih Panchayat area. This rural road connecting the Panchayat Headquarters and Saria-Bharkatta-Giridih road is unpaved. Due to this, trucks come and go every day. It should be noted that there is a PG-1 warehouse of FCI in Chhatarabad village. Every day, grains come to the warehouse from Hazaribagh Road Railway Station Rack Point in trucks and are then sent to the blocks here. The condition of the road has deteriorated due to the movement of heavy goods vehicles throughout the day on the unpaved road. It has become difficult for small and big vehicles to move on this road, which is about two kilometers long, and even walking on foot has become difficult.

Life in Teesri Block has become disrupted due to continuous rains since last three days. Due to rain, the footpath leading to Sijua village of the block has also been broken at many places. Due to this, people are facing a lot of problems in transportation. The people of Sijua village have been demanding this for years, but the road has not been built till the village. Till date no one has paid attention to the demands of the villagers. Due to this, people come and go only through the footpath of Sijua village. Sijua village is located at a distance of two km from the block headquarters and 500 meters from the PWD main road.
