People of Banjara caste living in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh have also been included in the priority category of Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana (Rural). The Rural Development Department has issued a government order in this regard on Thursday.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that during his tour of rural areas, he came to know that Banjara caste is not included in the list of Chief Minister Housing Scheme.
Keeping in view the need of Banjara caste, it has been decided to provide them the benefits of Chief Minister Housing Scheme. Let us tell you that last year, disabled people were included among the beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.
This year, houses have been allotted to about 70 thousand disabled people in the state. To avail the benefits of Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, you will have to provide some documents.
Such as copy of the applicant’s ration card, original residence certificate of Uttar Pradesh, passport size photo of the head, income certificate of the family. Apart from this, the applicant should be a native of Uttar Pradesh. No one in the applicant’s family should have their own house.
