Asansol, Ram Kumar: The state government has become very cautious after the cases of explosions in illegal firecracker factories in Narayanpur, Neelganj, Barasat of West Bengal. In such a situation, after this incident, a continuous raid campaign is being conducted by the police.
Police has recovered a huge quantity of firecrackers from Rambandh under Hirapur police station area of Asansol. It may be known that after getting information from secret sources, the police of Hirapur police station raided the area and recovered a large quantity of firecrackers.
At present, the police has started investigating the matter. The campaign was going on since last night itself which ended in the morning. The price of firecrackers has been estimated in lakhs in the market. The owner of the godown is absconding. The police has started looking for him.
The question is, where did so many crackers come from and why were the crackers deposited in that area? If something happens then who will be responsible? The incident has created a stir in the area. According to sources, the police have not yet detained or arrested anyone in this incident.
The area has been shaken by the explosion in an illegal firecracker factory in Moshpol area of Neelganj under Dattapukur police station of North 24 Parganas district, in which eight people died and 10 were injured. This incident has once again raised questions on the police administration.
In other districts including North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, there have been incidents of explosion and fire in illegal firecracker factory, in which many lives have been lost. Despite this, the police refrains from taking strict action. In some districts, small firecracker factories are running at home.
