Burdwan/Panagarh, Mukesh Tiwari : Former State BJP President Sukant Majumdar, who reached Burdwan as part of BJP’s ‘Meri Mitti Mera Desh’ program on Saturday, took a jibe at the state Chief Minister’s visit to Spain. Said that even if the Chief Minister had gone there and brought some industrial investment for Bengal, it would have been a blessing. She is misleading the people of Bengal by going to Spain.
There was some point in convincing a Spanish industrialist to invest in Bengal. It is beyond comprehension to announce the business of former cricketer Saurabh Ganguly from there. If Saurabh really wants to set up an industry, he could have announced it in West Bengal or Delhi also. What is the point of announcing this from Spain there? Taking the Chief Minister to task, Sukant further said that sometimes she is misleading the people here by putting plaster on her leg and sometimes by taking her grandfather i.e. Saurabh with her to Spain.
The people of Bengal have now known the reality of Didi and her party. There is a lack of employment in West Bengal. Industries are not functioning. On a question, Sukant said that before ‘Lakshmi Bhandar’, the government was running a scheme called ‘Ladli Behan’ in Madhya Pradesh. There the government gives Rs 1250 per month to every woman.
Whereas in West Bengal, general category women get only Rs 500 and other category women get only Rs 1,000. What history is Ms. Banerjee creating with this? Giving an example, the BJP MP from Balurghat said that the BJP government of Haryana is giving an allowance of Rs 2500 to the elderly above 60 years of age.
Taking a dig at the India alliance of opposition parties, Sukant said that it is a big question as to who will be the head of a party which has 26 heads of its own party. Emphasized that there is no alternative to BJP in the country. BJP MP Surinder Singh Ahluwalia, MLA Lakhan Gharui, Burdwan Sadar District Party President Abhijeet Ta and other leaders were present on the occasion.
