The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Sahibganj, Dhanbad, Bokaro, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Seraikela Kharsawan districts of Jharkhand. On September 30, there are chances of heavy rain in the southern and western parts of the state i.e. Simdega, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, Khunti, Seraikela, Gumla, Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar, Lohardaga and adjoining areas.

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with thunder in Garhwa and Palamu districts. There is also a possibility of thunderstorm during this period. Yellow alert has been issued regarding this. There are chances of rain in Chatra, Hazaribagh and Latehar districts also. There is a possibility of rain with thunder. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of about 80 mm of rain in Sahibganj and surrounding areas from Saturday to October 3.
