For the last 3-4 days, there is fog in many districts of the state including the capital Ranchi. People are hiding in their homes due to cold. People are not going out unless there is very important work.
To ensure that children do not catch cold, the timings of schools across the state have been changed.
As per the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the fog cleared in the capital and surrounding areas by Saturday afternoon. However, fog was visible till 11 am. The sun was visible behind the mist as if it was smiling softly.
By afternoon the sun’s rays were fully visible and the sky became clear. Till morning the birds were seen enjoying the light sunshine amid the fog. This scene really looked very pleasant.
With clear skies, cold can wreak further havoc. The minimum temperature of the capital Ranchi may remain below 9 degrees Celsius on 20 and 21 January.
It is known that due to cloudy sky the minimum temperature had increased. At the same time, the maximum temperature had fallen. Due to the reduction in the difference between maximum and minimum temperatures, cold was being felt throughout the day.
On January 22 and 23, there may be moderate to dense fog at many places in the state. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding this.
Due to open weather, the maximum temperature can be around 24 degrees Celsius. The maximum and minimum temperatures may increase on 22 and 23 January.
Even though the minimum temperature will rise amid the fog, people will not get respite from the cold. Due to fog, you will feel cold throughout the day.
