A large number of alumni attended the function held at Colonel Gadiock Stadium. During this, in his address, Governor Radhakrishnan described the contribution of Sainik School Tilaiya towards the nation as unique. In his address, the Governor congratulated everyone and said that he pays tribute to the glorious tradition of this school. I am proud to see the education and discipline of the military students. A large number of students here are holding high positions in the Indian Army, while innumerable students are brightening many vibrant aspects of life. Many congratulations to all the members of this great institution on their Diamond Jubilee. The Governor said that the form of character building and discipline seen in this school is rarely seen anywhere else. I am happy that the previous students of this school are holding high positions, however, no position or success is achieved without hard work and work. The Governor said that it is important what we are doing in our lives. Thinking only about themselves or protecting others i.e. society. Discipline has great importance in life.

School Principal Group Captain Rahul Saklani honored the Governor. A logo was presented by the school. In the welcome address, the Principal highlighted the achievements of the school in the last sixty years and said that our cadets are standing as pillars in the National Defense Academy as well as in all areas of the country. We will continue to offer our entire talent and potential to this motherland. At the function, everyone looked excited on the wonderful mixed tune of Harsh and Mod of the Indian Army Band team. The Governor inspected the army team. Barkatha MLA Amit Kumar Yadav, DC Megha Bhardwaj, SP Anudeep Singh, DFO Suraj Kumar Singh, DDC Rituraj, SDO Sandeep Kumar Meena and other officers, teachers of Sainik School Tilaiya and others were present on the spot. During the ceremony, the indomitable soldiers of the Indian Army Adventure Wing in the form of Para Motor Troops and Micro Light Helicopter made a spectacular flight hoisting the National Flag and the Sainik School Diamond Jubilee Flag. An excellent display of the modern drone technology of the Indian Armed Forces. During this time, the slogan of ‘Agre Sarat Sarvada’ kept resonating among the historic crowd. A large number of people were seen capturing this moment in their cameras.

Governor Radhakrishnan released the diamond jubilee year postage stamp of Sainik School Tilaiya on the occasion. On September 5, Senior Master Manoranjan Pathak, who was awarded the National Teacher Award, was also honoured. While releasing the school magazine, the Governor also honored the brave companions of Amar Tilayan sons with Veer Nari Samman for their sacrifice. During the second session of the function, a special assembly was organized in Captain Manoj Auditorium. In this ceremony, RN Lal senior teacher, Lieutenant General SK Jha, Police Medal awardee NK Ambedkar DG Bihar Armed Police Force, Brigadier VK Bhatt former principal Captain (Indian Navy) Mahesh Kandpal (former principal), Group Captain S. Jacob Inspection Officer (Sainik School Society and former Principal) lit the lamp and also offered floral tribute to the Founder Principal Lieutenant Colonel LEG Smith and congratulated everyone by cutting the cake. During this time Colonel RK Singh was also present.

In the ceremony, military students were rewarded with Major Amitabh Raj Academic Trophy and Basketball Trophy for their best performance. Last year, Cock House Trophy was awarded to Vikram Griha for best performance academically and overall. Many other awards were distributed. The Principal honored NK Ambedkar DG Bihar Armed Police Force, who was awarded the Police Medal, by presenting him a school memento. Recalling the emotional moment spent with the Amar Tilaiyaan sons, the former students kept a silence of two minutes and paid tribute with tearful eyes. On the occasion, the Vice Principal of the school, Lieutenant Colonel Lalnun Syama thanked all the guests, the organizer board and the military students. The program was coordinated by Senior Master Manoranjan Pathak and cultural and sports activities continued till late evening.

Union Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi was to participate in the second session of the program, but due to unavoidable reasons she could not attend. The Governor informed from the stage about the minister not being able to reach there. Security arrangements were tight regarding the arrival of the Governor at Sainik School. The Governor reached here from Ranchi by road. In such a situation, a large number of police forces were deployed from the route leading to Tilaiya Dam and at other places. But there was also deployment of police force.
