In Jharkhand today, on 15th November, on the occasion of Jharkhand’s Foundation Day, Chief Minister Hemant Soren will inaugurate the Mukhyamantri Gramin Gaadi Yojana.
Under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Gaadi Yojana, people who live in remote areas and have to walk several kilometers to catch a vehicle will benefit. This scheme is very beneficial for such backward areas.
Villagers face a lot of problems due to lack of vehicles in backward areas. They have to walk miles to catch a train. Under this scheme, the government will provide free transportation facility to the citizens in remote areas.
In this scheme, all types of halt fees and municipal corporation entry fees etc. will not be charged. Under the scheme, exemption in road tax will be given for a maximum period of five years from the date of issue of the first permit. Permit fee will be charged at Re 1 and application fee will be charged at Re 1.
The poor people of Jharkhand will benefit from this scheme. People of remote villages will be able to connect themselves with the mainstream. It will be easier for farmers to go to market, students to school and patients to hospital.
The interests of vehicle owners and drivers will also be taken care of in the bus service so that they can be protected from financial loss. On November 15, Chief Minister Hemant Soren will launch the scheme in the presence of Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Moharabadi Ground in Ranchi.
