There was heavy rainfall of 61 mm in Patna between 8.30 am and 3.30 pm on Saturday. Especially from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, it was so intense that 54 mm of rain was recorded by the Meteorological Center in just two hours. Due to this, one and a half to two feet water accumulated on the road in the low lying areas.
Maximum water logging was seen in Khaitan Market and the road in front of it, Birla Mandir Road, and Rajendra Nagar Road numbers one and two. There was more than two feet of water there at 2:30 pm which was coming out very slowly. There was water about one and a half feet in front of PMCH OPD and people passing by were drowning up to their knees.
Due to the construction work of double decker and metro in Ashok Rajpath, people faced difficulty in commuting due to the road being dilapidated and filled with rain water. During the rain, one to one and a half feet of water was seen in front of JP Golambar in Gandhi Maidan Circle.
Up to two feet of water was also seen in the road leading to the High Court from behind Hotel Pataliputra near Income Tax Golambar. One to one and a half feet of water was also seen at the Martyr Memorial Golambar in front of the Legislative Assembly.
Waterlogging was also seen in many localities of Kankarbagh during the rains. In many low-lying areas like East Indiranagar, Ramakrishna Nagar and Jaganpura, there was more than one and a half feet of water in many places.
Due to rain, the entire Pataliputra Colony ground was submerged and the swing around it was also filled with water. At some places, there was more than two feet of water on the road in front of Sai Temple and people were knee deep in water while commuting.
Water accumulated up to two feet in the lane in front of Loyola School and near the gate of Notre Dame Convent. There was one and a half to two feet water at Adarsh Colony turn in Patel Nagar.
There was so much water in the Shivpuri drain near Baba Chowk that the gap between the drain and the road disappeared. Similar situation was seen at many places in Saidpur drain and the road adjacent to it. The water of Rajiv Nagar drain had also reached close to the road.
Municipal Corporation officials and QRT were seen trying to drain the water as soon as the rain started, but the impact of the strike by the Corporation employees was visible on the functioning of the drainage pumping station and at many places, due to shortage of personnel, all the motors could not be run. Due to this, the speed of removing water remained slow.

There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at one or two places in Kishanganj, Araria and Supaul. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Katihar, Purnia, Madhepura and Madhubani.
According to the Meteorological Center, there will be a change in weather patterns from Monday and people will get relief from humidity.
