In front of JP Golambar in Gandhi Maidan Circle, one to one and a half feet of water was seen during this period. Water accumulated up to one and a half feet in the road leading to the High Court from behind Hotel Patliputra near Income Tax Golambar.
In front of the Vidhan Sabha, at the Martyr’s Memorial Golambar, water was seen from half a foot to one foot. Due to broken road and water logging, there was difficulty in coming and going to Ashok Rajpath.
Due to the construction work of double decker and metro in Ashok Rajpath, due to the breaking of the road and rain water filling it, people had difficulty in coming and going. In many localities of Kankarbagh also water logging was seen during the rains.
Waterlogging also occurred at many places in low-lying areas like East Indiranagar, Ramakrishna Nagar and Jaganpura. In Karbigahia too, waterlogging was seen at many places and due to this people faced difficulty in commuting.
After the end of the rains, water got out rapidly in many areas. The drainage pumping stations were run to their full capacity during the rains. Due to this, after the end of the rain, the water came out rapidly and by late evening half a feet or less water was left in most of the places.
Only areas like Khaitan Market and Birla Mandir Road continued to see water till late night. At the same time, water is still accumulated in many areas.
