The Officers Training Academy (OTA) located in Gaya, Bihar was decorated in traditional military attire on the occasion of the 24th passing out parade on Saturday morning. Military officers took oath in the piping ceremony held after the passing out parade. A total of 128 passouts took place from OTA on Saturday, out of which seven were from friendly countries. Among the passed cadets, 121 are from India, five from Bhutan and two from Vietnam. This time maximum 31 cadets have passed out from UP. Apart from this, there are 13 cadets from Uttarakhand, nine from Rajasthan, six from MP and three from Bihar. In the 24th passing out parade, a total of 121 cadets passed out after training and dedicated themselves to serving the country.

90 officers will go to different training wings to get degree in engineering

The passed out cadets include a total of 101 officers of Technical Entry Scheme (TES) serial no. 42. Seven officers from friendly countries are also included in this. Along with this, 27 officers of Special Commission Officer Course (SCO) serial number 51 also passed out. 90 officer cadets of TES-48 course, who are pursuing degree in engineering from various Army Cadet Training Wings like Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Secunderabad, Military College of Telecommunications Engineering, Mau and College of Engineering, Mau, also participated in the parade. During the passing out parade, the Officer Cadets were seen in excellent military turnout and displayed extraordinary drill movements which reflected their high level of training, motivation, self-respect and camaraderie. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar (PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC) was the inspecting officer of the parade. The highly decorated, experienced and accomplished Admiral officer is an alumnus of the 61st Course National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune.

Officer Cadet Satwik Shivpuri was awarded the prestigious “Sword of Honour” for his best performance in all the rounds of the Passing Out Technical Entry Scheme Course. Apart from this, he was also awarded ‘Gold Medal’ for standing first in the merit list in the Passing Out Technical Entry Scheme course. Meanwhile, Gurez Company was awarded the Chief of Army Staff Banner for Winter Session 2023 for its best performance.
