For better suspension, Kashima coating has been given in the KYB front fork of the bike, while an adjustable KYB monoshock unit is available in the rear. The seat height of the Tenere 700 Extreme is the highest in the lineup at 910mm, while the ground clearance of 260mm helps it overcome even the biggest obstacles. The Ténéré 700 Extreme comes with an enduro-style front fender with titanium footpegs, an aluminum radiator protector and a flat, one-piece seat.

Apart from this, the latest bike also gets a 5-inch full-color TFT display, which includes a rally-style display with navigation. To protect against dirt and mud, a separate mudguard is provided in the fender, while aluminum spoke wheels are available with gold anodized finish.

The Tenere 700 Extreme is powered by a 689cc, CP2, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine with a crossplane crankshaft, which is the same as the other Tenere 700 models. This powertrain will be capable of producing 73.4hp power and 68Nm torque. It is installed on a double-cradle, steel tube frame.

Yamaha’s new motorcycle Tenere 700 Extreme will be available in European markets first. After this, it is expected to be launched in the Indian market next year at a price between Rs 8-9 lakh. However, some reports also suggest that the automaker will not sell this motorcycle in India.
