PHOTO: Yamaha Aerox 155 MotoGP Edition launched, price only Rs 1.48 lakh

New Delhi : After launching the MotoGP edition of YZF-R15M, MT-15 V2.0 and Ray ZR 125 FI Hybrid, two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has launched the MotoGP edition of Aerox 155 in the Indian market. The company has fixed its price at Rs 1,48,300 in the ex-showroom Delhi. On the occasion of its launch, Yamaha said that the MotoGP Edition will be sold in limited numbers. Apart from MotoGP Edition, Aerox 155 has been introduced in four color options Metallic Black, Racing Blue, Gray Vermillion and Silver.

Aerox 155 MotoGP : Price

The ex-showroom price of the standard edition of Aerox 155 is Rs 1,44,800. Regarding this, Yamaha says that the model is now equipped with Class D headlamp, which provides better lighting and visibility while riding at night. It also has traction control, which cuts off power when it detects rear wheel slip.

Aerox 155 MotoGP : Engine

Powering the Aerox 155 is a 155 cc Blue Core liquid-cooled engine. It is equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), which is mated to a CVT automatic transmission. This is the same engine which is working on YZF-R15M and MT-15 V2.0. However, it has been retuned to suit the features of the scooter.

Aerox 155 MotoGP : Talk Output

The engine in the Aerox 155 generates a peak torque output of 14.79 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine can run on E20 fuel and has an on-board diagnostics system.

Aerox 155 MotoGP: Design

This variant of the Aerox 155 sports a MotoGP-themed paint scheme with the Monster Energy logo prominently displayed across the body. Apart from this, the scooter is equipped with standard features like traction control and Bluetooth connectivity.

Aerox 155 MotoGP: Powertrain

In terms of powertrain, the Arox comes with a 155 cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOC engine, which generates 14.8 bhp power and 13.9 Nm peak torque. Yamaha launched the OBD-II compliant model of the Aerox 155 in April 2023 and it now comes with E20 fuel.

YZF-R15M, MT-15 v2.0 and RAY ZR 125FI: Price

Earlier, the manufacturer had introduced MotoGP editions of YZF-R15M, MT-15 V2.0 and Ray ZR 125 FI Hybrid. Their ex-showroom prices are Rs 1.97 lakh, Rs 1.73 lakh and Rs 92,330 respectively.

Preparation to introduce the new bike

Yamaha is currently preparing to launch new R3 and MT-03 motorcycles in the Indian market. The manufacturer showcased both the motorcycles at MotoGP India and will launch the motorcycles in December. Where Yamaha R3 comes as a fully faired sportbike. Whereas the MT-03 comes as its naked streetfighter sibling.
