New Delhi: Domestic automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that it has updated the XUV400 for the Indian market by adding some features. The only electric vehicle from the Indian automaker now comes with electronic stability program, tire pressure monitoring system, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM and fog lamps. It is expected that the manufacturer has not made any other changes to the XUV400.
XUV400 becomes competitive
With the addition of new features, the XUV400 has become more competitive in the segment. The main rival of the Mahindra XUV400 is the Tata Nexon EV, which is currently the best selling electric vehicle in the Indian car market. In this car, the company has used a 39.5kWh battery. This battery has also got the rating of IP67. The engine of this electric vehicle can generate power of 149.5PS and peak torque of 310nm.
Mahindra XUV400 Price
Mahindra XUV400 price in the Indian car market starts from Rs. 15.99 Lakh to Rs. 18.99 Lakh. Both these prices are ex-showroom. Whereas, the Tata Nexon EV Prime has undercut the XUV400. The price of this Tata electric car starts from Rs 14.49 lakh ex-showroom, while the starting price of Nexon EV Max is slightly higher. Its price starts from 16.49 lakhs ex-showroom.
Variants
Mahindra has introduced the XUV400 Electric in two variants. As per media reports, Mahindra has introduced the XUV400 in two trims EC and EL. The battery capacity of EC is 34.5 kWh. It has been claimed by the company that its range is 375 km. On the other hand, if we talk about its EL variant, then its battery capacity is 39.4 kWh. Regarding this, it is claimed by the company that its driving range is 456 km. The EC comes with two chargers 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW. On the other hand, the EL trim is offered with a 7.2 kW charger only. Apart from battery, range and charger, both the variants have different features. Being the top-end model, the EL comes with more features and color options.

In this car, the company has given features like Digital Instrument Cluster, Dual Zone Climate Control, Auto Headlamps, Rain Sensing Wipers, Type C Charging, 8 Inch Touchscreen Infotainment System, AdrenoX Connected Tech, 17 Inch Alloy Wheels. According to the company, this car can be run up to 456 kilometers in a single charge. The battery of this car takes 50 minutes to charge from 0-80 percent with the help of a 50kW DC fast charger. At the same time, it takes 6 hours 30 minutes to charge completely.
