Due to continuous rains, flood like situation has arisen in many areas of the city. Water entered houses, markets, schools and colleges. The roads are flooded. Boats are moving. Buses parked in the bus depot have also drowned. About 106 mm rainfall has been recorded at Nagpur Airport from 1 am on Friday night to 5 am on Saturday.
There has been devastation due to heavy rains in Maharashtra. Four people died due to floods after rains in Nagpur. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has said that it may rain in many areas of the state today i.e. on Sunday also. The meteorological department has issued an orange alert.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Saturday that due to heavy rains many parts of the city have been flooded. 400 people, including 70 hearing and speech impaired students trapped in the flood, have been rescued safely. NDRF and SDRF teams are evacuating people safely from flood affected areas. Two companies of the army are deployed in Ambazari area.
