India’s automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has recently unveiled its new Scorpio N pickup truck. The company is now going to launch it on August 15, but it will not be launched in India. Mahindra will launch the Scorpio N pickup truck in Cape Town, South Africa. The domestic auto maker has termed it as the concept form of the global pickup truck. It is expected that this pickup truck will be based on the Mahindra Scorpio N platform. The upcoming Mahindra Thar five door will also be based on the same architecture. It will carry forward the legacy of the Mahindra Scorpio pickup truck, which has been in the business for many years. Apart from this, the automaker is also expected to showcase some more future mobility plans of the brand.

Scorpio N SUV will come with long wheelbase

Internally codenamed Z121, the new pickup truck will come with a longer wheelbase than the standard Scorpio N SUV. This will enable the pickup truck to accommodate a larger cargo deck. The Mahindra Scorpio Classic has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm, while the pickup model of this SUV comes with a wheelbase of over 3,000 mm, allowing the latter to have a cargo deck.

New truck will gallop on any road

Mahindra hasn’t revealed much details about the upcoming pickup truck concept, however, the teaser indicates that it will be capable of tackling tough road challenges.

Some of the pickup truck concept’s design features include a double-cab body style, strong-looking front grille and chunky off-road spec tires wrapping around the big wheels. The production model of the Mahindra Scorpio N pickup truck will hit the market by 2025. It can come in both single and double-cab body styles.
