New Delhi: Bookings for the Citroën are expected to start from September and it can be launched any time during the festive season. It is being told that it will be a medium sized SUV. However, three models of the French automaker are already being sold in the Indian car market. This also includes the all-electric eC3 model.
It has been told in the media report that after the launch of Citroën C3 Aircross, the SUV model of many auto companies will have to compete in the Indian car market. This includes Mahindra Scorpio, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Harrider, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq etc. It has been said in the report that Honda Elevate is also joining this race soon.
Saurabh Vats, Brand Chief, Citroën India, said that we are very excited to launch this car. It is a very exciting segment and the C3 Aircross is a mid size SUV. He said that we have also taken suggestions from customers on many things. We are going to give a value proposition to the customers.
Turbo petrol motor in all variants
The Citroën C3 Aircross will come with only a single engine option. It is powered by the 1.2-litre turbo petrol motor, which is also found inside the C3 hatchback. This turbo petrol motor will be offered across all variants of the mid-size SUV and churns out 108 Bhp and 190 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox.

The highlight of the Citroën C3 Aircross is its five-plus two-seat layout, while a conventional five-seat layout will also be offered. The third row of the SUV is unique as no other companies in the segment offer such seats. These seats can be completely removed if needed for cargo. The five plus two seat layout, the C3 Aircross will get roof mounted AC vents, which promise faster and more cooling for the second and third row passengers.
dual-tone body color
The Citroën C3 Aircross is the only model in its segment to get more dual-tone body color options than single-tone ones. The dual-tone body color options on the vehicle include White plus Grey, White plus Blue, Grey+White, Grey+Blue, Platinum Grey+White and Blue with White Roof. The C3 Aircross will also come with four packs or customization options with around 70 accessories. These packs are Vibe, Elegance, Travel and Care.
