People of Sonari of Jamshedpur will now get freedom from pollution and stench, agency selected for disposal of waste

Jamshedpur: After a long struggle of six months, the way to dispose of 45 thousand metric tonnes of waste spread over 3.5 acres in Sonari Domuhani has been paved. Jamshedpur Access Administration has selected Mumbai’s agency Messrs Guru Ramdas Construction for this work. This selection has been done through online tender. The target is to complete the work in six months. The Access Administration will spend Rs 4.13 crore on this. With this Sonari and its surrounding people will get permanent freedom from pollution and stench.

This is how the agency will work

This Mumbai-based agency will do biomining of the existing garbage dump. In this, plastic etc. will separate the toxic substances that are not destroyed in the environment from the waste. Garbage disposal unit will be set up. A big conveyor belt will run in the unit with automatic machine. Will prepare food and other things from this (waste). The agency will supply 80 percent of the various materials coming out of the waste as raw material to different companies. Remaining 20% ​​will be on-site disposal of waste. Presently this agency has experience of on-site disposal of waste in Mumbai.

Jamshedpur Axis had floated an online tender in February and April this year for the permanent disposal of Sonari Domuhani’s garbage. The agency of Mumbai was selected in the online tender drawn in the month of April. Now Jamshedpur Access will sign MoU with the selected agency, then issue work order to the agency to start the work. According to sources, the agency will soon start work on the ground.
