People of Jharkhand got relief from heat

Ranchi: People of Jharkhand have got relief from the heat due to the formation of low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. However, compared to Thursday, Ranchi’s maximum temperature saw an increase of four degrees Celsius on Friday. At the same time, the maximum temperature on Thursday had decreased by 6.1 degrees Celsius as compared to Wednesday. According to the Meteorological Department, temperature fluctuations will continue in the month of April. There is a possibility of cloudy sky and light rain at isolated places in Ranchi and surrounding areas for the next two days.

In such a situation, minor relief from heat can be provided for two days. At the same time, from April 15, the maximum temperature may increase by five degrees Celsius. This situation is likely to last till April 18. During this period, the maximum temperature of the capital is expected to reach 38 degrees and the maximum temperature of other districts is expected to reach more than 40 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be isolated rain in the southern (Kolhan) and adjacent central parts of the state (capital and surrounding areas) on April 14. Wind speed can be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Here, due to the formation of a cyclonic turf over Jharkhand, there was sporadic rain along with wind in areas like Deoghar, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Giridih, Chatra, Garhwa, Latehar, Palamu etc. on Friday. It may be noted that on April 12, the maximum temperature of the capital was recorded at 32.4 degrees and the minimum temperature was 18.0 degrees Celsius.

Agricultural scientists of Birsa Agricultural University have advised farmers not to spray any kind of medicine in case of light rain and overcast conditions in the coming days. Farmers should spray the medicine only when the weather is clear. In such weather, the incidence of diseases is high. Therefore, farmers should keep regular monitoring of standing crops. Clean grains properly before storing. Dry the moisture content. Add soil to the summer maize crop. Apply 26 kg urea per acre to the crop.
