Pattern of Matric-Inter examination will change, JACK sent proposal to Education Department

Sunil Kumar Jha, Ranchi:

Preparations are being made to change the pattern of Matric-Inter examination in Jharkhand. Now the examinations will be taken on the pre-Covid pattern. Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has prepared its proposal and sent it to the School Education and Literacy Department. According to the proposal prepared by JACK, 10 marks have been reduced in the examination conducted on OMR sheet. Now OMR exam will be conducted for 30 marks instead of 40. In the examination taken on OMR sheet, all the questions are of one mark and multiple choice.

At the same time, 50 marks will be taken on the answer sheet instead of 40. Internal assessment will be of 20 marks only as before. It is noteworthy that during Covid, the Matric-Inter examination pattern was changed. The examination was being conducted in two phases. The exam of 40 marks was being taken on OMR sheet and the exam of 40 marks was being taken on the answer book.

CBSE and ICSE boards also changed the examination pattern during Covid. The examination was taken in two phases. The exam of 40 marks was conducted on OMR sheet and the exam of 40 marks was conducted on answer book. Both the examination boards have also changed their respective examination patterns and the examination is being conducted on the previous pattern.
