Patna Smart City: Multi modal hub will enhance the beauty of Patna Junction, stations will be accessible through underground route

The multi-modal hub being built near GPO Golambar under the Patna Smart City (PSC) project will now have four floors. It is done through underground route. Patna Junction Will also be linked to. About 50 percent of whose construction work has been completed. Along with this, this entire area will look attractive due to the excellent metro station being built near Patna Junction and the green belt under the flyover. The multi-modal hub was earlier to be two storeyed but now it has been decided to make it four storeyed. This decision has also been approved by Smart City Limited. An additional Rs 13 crore has also been released by Patna Smart City in the meeting to add two more floors in this multi-modal hub. Now after the new changes, its cost has increased from Rs 65 crore to around Rs 78 crore 11 lakh.

Facility of food court and cafeteria will be available

Apart from parking of vehicles, a vending zone will also be created in the multi-modal hub. This space will be available to local street vendors. Along with this, food court and cafeteria will also be constructed here under the new plan. People will get a lot of convenience from this.

There will be parking arrangements for 100 additional vehicles

Where earlier there was to be arrangement for parking about 150 vehicles in the two-storey multi-modal hub building. Now there will be parking arrangements for about 100 more vehicles. There will be a bus stand on the ground floor where about 32 buses can be parked simultaneously. Buses will be operated from here to different areas of the city. Along with this, many more facilities will be available here. Along with this, the Managing Director of PSC has assured the auto drivers that there will be stand facility for them in the multi-modal hub.

50 percent work of underground tunnel completed

According to the information, out of the 440 meter long subway, work of about 215 meters has been completed except finishing. About 118 meters of the 440 meter subway will remain outside. Which will start from multi model hub. The subsequent part will be eight meters underground. The work of adding concrete to the outer 118 meters has been done.

Eight meter wide automatic travellator will also be installed

Automatic traveler (automatic ramp) is also to be installed in the subway. This automatic travelator will be eight meters wide and people will be able to move by standing on it. After this, a path of about 320 meters will go straight through the underground tunnel towards the main building of the junction and towards the south of Mahavir Temple. Escalator will also be installed to go into the tunnel.

Excavation work will start at the end of October

Till now construction work is going on in 220 meter tunnel. Out of which a concrete box has also been installed in the 97 meter tunnel. The excavation work of the remaining 100 meter tunnel will start at the end of October. The 440 meter subway will have a total of three gates for entry and exit. The first gate will be at Patna Junction, the second near Buddha Smriti Parking and the third gate will be at Multi Model Hub.

People will get relief from traffic problems

After the construction of underground route from Patna Junction to the bus stand, people will be able to reach here through Travelator and catch the bus. With the introduction of this facility, people will be able to get relief from the problem of jam and traffic around Mahavir Temple and Patna Junction Golambar. Now people catch buses from near Golambar station.
