Patna. The High Court heard the petition filed on the non-recovery of the missing/kidnapped child even after four months of registration of the FIR. The court asked the SSP of Patna to personally appear with the petitioner within three days and watch the available video clip. The single bench of Justice Rajiv Ranjan Prasad gave the above instructions while hearing this case. The court said that after watching the video clip and other materials, the SSP will make a strategy as to how to proceed in this case, trace the victim girl and arrest the culprits. The court said that all the suspects need to be thoroughly interrogated and investigated rigorously.
Even after four months nothing has been done
On behalf of the petitioner, the court was told that if the abducted child is not recovered within four months of the kidnapping, then the case has to be sent to the anti-human trafficking unit of the state so that a very thorough investigation can be done for the recovery of the kidnapped child. He said that in the light of the Supreme Court order, the Union Home Ministry has issued a guideline to all the states, but even after four months have passed since the FIR was filed regarding the disappearance of the applicant’s daughter, nothing has been done.
The cameras installed by the administration are defective
On behalf of the petitioner, it was said that it is a very unfortunate situation that the police is not doing anything because the cameras installed by the administration at nearby places are defective and lying inactive. It was found from the camera of a nearby shop that the victim girl was returning from her coaching institute and while crossing the road suddenly an Innova car stopped near her and after that she could not be traced. This petition has been filed on behalf of the father of a minor girl who was abducted or went missing while returning home after taking a coaching class from Gola Coaching Institute located on Gola Road. Case number 815/23 has been registered in Rupaspur police station of capital Patna regarding this matter.
